Exporting Stems

Export separated stems as individual audio files.

In File mode, StemX can export the separated stems as individual audio files in WAV, FLAC, or MP3 format. This is useful for creating sample packs, preparing remix stems, or extracting acapellas and instrumentals.

Stems can be exported in multiple formats at the source file's sample rate.

Naming Convention

Exported files are named based on the source file:

mysong_vocals.wav

mysong_drums.wav

mysong_bass.wav

mysong_guitar.wav

mysong_piano.wav

mysong_other.wav

How to Export

    Load your audio file

    Click Load File and select your audio.

    Wait for separation

    StemX will process the file. Progress is shown in the interface.

    Preview (optional)

    Use transport controls to preview individual stems.

    Click Export

    Opens the export dialog with options.

    Choose destination

    Select output folder and format, then click Export.

Export Tips

  • Use 32-bit float for maximum quality and headroom
  • Batch processing: Load multiple files to process and export in sequence
  • Keep stems aligned: All exported stems have identical length for easy DAW import
  • Apply fader settings: Export volumes match your current fader positions
