Does StemX require an internet connection?
No. After initial licence activation, StemX works 100% offline. All AI processing happens locally on your machine - your audio never leaves your computer.
What's the latency for real-time processing?
In live mode, StemX processes audio in real time with a configurable latency window. Actual latency depends on your chosen chunk size, buffer size, sample rate, and hardware.
Which DAWs are supported?
StemX and 0xDrive work with any DAW that supports VST3 (Windows & macOS), AU (macOS), or Standalone operation. This includes Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Reaper, Cubase, Studio One, and more. AAX support (Pro Tools) is coming soon.
Can I use GIMZWARE plugins for commercial productions?
Yes. All GIMZWARE licences permit commercial use. Use StemX or 0xDrive in your productions, remixes, sample packs, or any other creative work without additional licensing.
How many computers can I install on?
Each licence allows installation on up to 2 computers for your personal use (e.g., studio desktop and laptop for live shows). You can deactivate machines to free up slots anytime. For studios needing multiple licences, contact us for volume pricing.
Do I get free updates?
Yes. All purchases include lifetime updates for the major version you purchased (e.g., all 1.x updates if you bought version 1.0), including bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features. Major version upgrades (e.g., 2.0) may be offered at a discounted price for existing customers.
What GPU do I need?
0xDrive does not require a GPU at all - it runs entirely on CPU. For StemX: NVIDIA GTX 1060 or newer for CUDA, any DirectX 12 GPU for DirectML (Windows), or Apple Silicon for CoreML (automatic). StemX also runs on CPU at higher latency.
