Quick Start Guide
Get StemX up and running in under 5 minutes.
Download & Install
After purchasing StemX, download the installer for your platform:
- Windows: StemX-Installer.exe
- macOS: StemX-Installer.pkg
Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. The installer will place the plugin in your standard plugin directories.
Activate Your Licence
Launch StemX (standalone or in your DAW). On first launch, you'll be prompted to enter your licence key.

Enter the key you received via email and click Activate. The licence is tied to your machine and works offline after activation.
Choose Your Mode
StemX has two operating modes:
LIVE MODE
Real-time processing of your DAW's audio input. Best for monitoring stems during a session or live performance.
FILE MODE
Load audio files, separate them, and export individual stems. Best for preparing samples or creating remixes.
Start Separating
In Live Mode: Play audio through your DAW and StemX will separate it in real-time. Use the faders to adjust each stem's volume.
In File Mode: Click Load File, select your audio, and the separation will begin automatically. Use the transport controls to preview, then export individual stems.
Configure GPU (Optional)
For best performance, enable GPU acceleration in Settings:
- NVIDIA: CUDA (requires driver 525+)
- Windows: DirectML (any GPU)
- Apple Silicon: CoreML (automatic)
GPU acceleration can reduce latency by 50% or more compared to CPU processing.
